Meet Angélina from Activhandi. A fighting spirit with a smile who has tried Algorigin seaweed! Discover her story and her feedback:
Algorigin: Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about Activhandi?
Angélina: My name is Angélina PERGOD, I'm 28 years old and I'm disabled following a spinal cord injury.
I'm co-founder ofActivhandi alongside Florian Vallet and Franck Collongues.
Activhandi is a social platform that connects people with reduced mobility and disabilities with a range of sports and leisure activities adapted to their needs.
I'm in charge of animating the Activhandi communities.
A : How did Activhandi come about?
Angélina: Activhandi was born of my experience and that of Florian. We were both passionate about the mountains and sporting activities, and we shared a passion for hiking, handiskiing and water sports.
What's more, we are volunteers in a handi-loisirs association whose aim is to share the pleasures of the mountains with disabled people. This shared experience has enabled us to see that there is a strong demand for services for people with disabilities, but that there was a lack of connection with what was on offer.
A : What is the aim of Activhandi?
Angélina: We want to make our regions accessible to people with disabilities and showcase the mountains.
We want to encourage them to take part in an activity and get out of the house to avoid isolation.
Thanks to ActivHandi, you can geolocate places of practice and cultural events adapted to people with disabilities.
A : How did you hear about Algorigin?
Angélina: ActivHandi is supported by the European Outdoor Sports Valley cluster. We're based at Annecy Base Camp in the same premises as Algorigin.

A : What healthy algae have you already tried?
Angélina: I supplement my diet with spirulina granules following the team's advice.
