Renowned for its high chlorophyll content and the presence of vitamin B12, chlorella also boasts other exceptional properties.

Discover the nutritional composition of chlorella in detail:

Proteins

Chlorella is rich in plant proteins (50% of its weight), which are easily assimilated when the chlorella membrane is opened. It contains the 8 amino acids essential for adults.

Lipids

Chlorella contains 10% fatty acids, mainly in the form of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Omega-3s account for 35% of chlorella lipids.

Fiber

The fibers in chlorella's membrane represent 15% of its weight. They are not easily digestible and need to be broken down to enable the micro-algae's components to be assimilated.

Vitamins

Chlorella's numerous vitamins ensure some of its capacities. They are naturally present in chlorella, notably in the form of vitamins B1, 2, 6, 9, 12, C, K and E. Vitamin B12 is absent from all common plants. Chlorella is therefore an interesting source for vegetarians and vegans[1].

Minerals

Chlorella contains large quantities of minerals (10% of its composition).

Pigments

Chlorella's chlorophyll gives it its green color. Chlorella is the richest plant in this pigment, accounting for 2-4% of its weight.
