AFA Klamath

What is AFA Klamath?

Afa Klamath is a blue algae, just like spirulina or chlorella .

Its richness in vitamin B12 gives AFA Klamath a role in the process of cell division and the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Natural origin of AFA Klamath

It grows naturally in a unique location far from any pollution: Klamath Lake , in Oregon (USA).

The lake's water, of great purity and with a neutral pH , comes from the melting of snow and ice from the surrounding volcanic mountains, some of which reach heights of over 1,262 m.

This is why it is also called klamath seaweed, or klamath.

The benefits of AFA Klamath

Thanks to its unique, nutrient-rich growing site, Klamath is one of the most complete foods on the planet. The benefits of vitamin B12 are numerous:

The composition of the Afa Klamath

The secret of Klamath lies in its exceptional composition, rich in micronutrients and trace elements. It contains more than 65 vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential fatty acids. Due to its structure, the absorption of essential nutrients is optimal, with an assimilation and effective utilization of 95%.

  • Proteins
Klamath is particularly rich in plant protein, 55% to 70% of its weight, which is a truly exceptional value. From a qualitative point of view, Klamath proteins are complete, as they contain all the essential amino acids.
  • Vitamins
Interestingly, vitamin B12 is difficult to obtain in a meat-free diet because no common plant foods contain it. Therefore, Klamath AFA is indicated as part of a vegetarian or vegan/vegan diet [5].
  • Pigments
    – Carotenoids: Klamath contains them. These are yellow-orange pigments, including ß-carotene (precursor of vitamin A), 10 times more present than in carrots and a powerful antioxidant.
    – Chlorophyll: this is also an exceptional source (1 to 2% of dry weight)
